Sonic Type

Sonic Type is an interactive exhibit that transforms sound into a dynamic visual experience. Using custom p5.js coding, a microphone detects audio input, triggering a projected image of a gradient circle with vibrating strings, emulating a guitar. As sound intensifies, musical notes burst outward, the gradient shifts, and the strings visually pulse in real time. The result is an immersive fusion of typography, motion, and sound, making music a fully interactive visual experience. At my exhibit, I placed a ukulele for added fun and interaction, where people could play into the microphone.
